As most of you know, I have 3 sons and 2 of them have ASD. I am so scared that Tobias will be dealt the same hand and am most certainly paranoid about his milestones...The past few weeks I've worried so much about his not sitting up on his own totally. He'd sit up for maybe 3 mins and fall over like Humpty Dumpty. Well today I went to get my precious baby up from his nap and I opened the door to this...
God is good! It's almost like Tobias was just holding out on me! I know his secret now! This little man is so good at making his mom cry. Sometimes I just look at him and bawl my eyes out. I wanted him sooooo bad and he sure took his good ole time getting here (10 years!!!)...how...oh how did I get so lucky?!
Happy New Year to all of you!
Hugs, Hugs, and more Hugs!

It's the time of year! Tobias made his first visit to Santa tonite! He didn't cry scream or anything! Santa pointed at the camera and Tobias started flailing his arms around and jumping up and down and trying to get Santas finger! It was so cute. I can't wait to see what his "real" santa picture looks like! I really like this one tho...
The santa is from My Scrapchick of course...my new obsession...I made the belt buckle in DS as I don't have fabulous finds...I think that will be my next cart purchase...I love the do dads on that one!
I'm tired of cutting out titles...they all seem the same. So I decided to stamp it on.
Hope you all have a great weekend!!

I haven't been feeling well and as much as I want to create - it just isn't coming so easy. I worked on this for a week. I took it apart several times and this is all the better I could do. Thank God for print at home photos! I am sure I will scrap this again at some point but for now...it is what it is. I love Tobias' little toes and I had to take pictures of course. Sweet little baby feet!
I painted and sewed and stamped and painted some more lol! I used scal and punches for the flowers and the font.

Everything cut with SCAL again. Except the circles and scalloped circle. I am so frustrated with those. Ever since the last update for Design Studio I have the most rediculous looking circles. They wouldn't even make a respectable egg...What can you do? Smile and nod and pretend your circles look halfway "normal"...This is not my favorite layout but it's not bad. More cut files from My Scrapchick. I still have to add some bees...After his photo op...I picked him up and found a swarm of bees in the pumpkins all around him!!!
Hope you all have a great week!

Well Tobias loved his first Thanksgiving! He loves cranberries and pumpkin pie. He was sick with a cold on the big day too :( He is starting to feel better today though! I got the bear patterns from My Scrapchick...I love that place! If you sign up for the newsletter you get a free pattern e-mailed to you once a week. These bears were free! and beautiful! I changed the colors of their clothes and I made the basket to be woven. That took forever!!!!!!!!! It was all cut using SCAL. I am loving the fonts...This one really worked for this layout!
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

It's been crazy this week. Every single day loads scheduled...can not wait until Saturday when I can once again breathe! I scrapped this picture once already but when this idea came to me um, 2 months ago I had to get started! I'm still not finished but I really like the way its coming about. LOADS of carts used on this one.

When I found this svg I knew what I was going to do with it. It played a major role in my purchasing SCAL when I did even. I love the way it turned out altho the colors are a little off. I hope he loves it. (being 15, he loves skulls...) I got the file from this site .
**Kim - I so love scal. I have both the baby bug and the expression. I use the expression ALL the time. SCAL is so versatile I can even draw my own things with Paint Shop and then cut them out. I am rusty at drawing graphics tho :( I have a lot of fun with this tho. There is a little learning curve but it is so worth it! I got mine at CanadaCrafts it was the cheapest around. I was able to get both the download with code e-mailed AND get a disc mailed to me!

I am having the time of my life with SCAL! I made my first SVG of this fabulous little monkey! Oh he is the cutest monkey ever! And if that wasn't enough! I made my own jungle leaf svg too! The font is "jungle bones" ...I love it! You can't see it but there are little eyes in the dot above the I and in the lowercase L.

I remember when this program first came about...I wanted zero things to do with it. I was afraid it would tear up my cricut and what could this program possibly bring to my lil world of scrap booking. Well let me tell you...they don't call this thing sure cuts a lot for no reason! It sure cuts a lot! I am still learning my way around it all but wow the possibilities are endless! NO more font carts for me - EVER! One of the things I could not wait to make was Curious George. I do so love that little monkey! but then, I found the Grinch! I love this program and I am excited to make a layout with it tomorrow. In the meantime I am going to go jump in the bed and dream of turning people into vectors ...I honestly dreamed that last night! I woke up just as I was getting mad that Brent wouldn't uh...hmm...vectorize?! Without further ado...here is the mean one...Mr. Grinch! I got the .svg file from Mardenz Just click her name and you will go right where you need to! :)
It's dark and the picture is very low quality :( and he has flock all over him! UGH!

This morning Kim posted on her blog about a little boy named Noah that has Cancer and is dying and is collecting Christmas cards. I had this one made for a month at least now and when I read this I knew just what to do with that card. Say a prayer for Noah...
I've got to tell you...I hate when little ones are sick. It's so much easier when a bigger person gets sick, they can tell us where it hurts etc. So when I hear of an under weather baby (they are all babies you know, someones baby) I have to make them a little something! I have zero time lately so this had to be a fast one but I hope he loves it and that it puts a smile on his little face!

Bub and I spent a bit this afternoon making witch fingers to shock Trev with when he gets home from school. Of course Bub being Bub he had to go a step further and make an entire hand...I think they turned out cute in a gross sort of way of course! Every year we are going to try making something new for Halloween. Traditions have to start somewhere, and what better place then in the kitchen!

This was tough to do...Bub saw me working on it and said Oh great...the worst day of my life. I explained this was for me not so much for him...he wouldn't have this page as a memory unless he wanted to. I then went on to explain that maybe he could see the picture as change....things changed after that. If only I could convince myself to see it the same way. This was the picture...the only one that turned out from his 8th grade graduation. I hadn't seen him in a group setting since first grade...Since his diagnosis this picture haunts me. It screams at me to wake up and see what's there.
I wasn't going to share it...but then I decided by not sharing it might be that I'm ashamed. I am not ashamed. He is still my baby. My sweet sweet boy. I just don't want to add pain to pain. Here's to healing...

I don't remember how I found these but let me tell you when I sat down last night to see if I could just fold a piece of fabric remotely close to the real deal...I was hooked! 15 petals later...I had to redo this flower OMG so many times I lost track! but!!! It is so gorgeous! My only dilemas are 1. boys and flowers don't go together, and 2. the bulkyness. I have to find some thinner fabric. Anyway, here is a picture of my little-not so little flower. This fabric was cut at 3"...I think I'm going to try 1 1/2 next. The flower is called a Kanzashi flower. I'm ordering a book on all the folds...this is one of 3 that I know of so far. Click on Kanzashi to see a video and get instructions. I hope you all can use these beautiful little creations! I do recommend using starch and a bone folder for your creasing. It made life so much easier!

Finally!! I didn't think this would ever get done! I was so picky with it. This is the third layout...the other 2 I tore apart. I printed out the sheet music for Jesus Loves Me and inked it and roughed up my edges which gave it the ooomph I was wanting! All in all I think it turned out OK. Now Trev wants one too! First request he's made for a page...I am so excited to make him one!

I wanted to try something new and fun with the boys this year. Tyler loved it and Trever...not so much. He is making a ghost that I have to finish. Tyler made a pumpkin and I made Frankenstein for Tobias. It was messy but oh so cute!

Tobias has been having problems sleeping. For days now... BUT!! he took an hourish nap and I was able to get a layout done HOORAY!!! Sometimes I feel like I have to create or I'm going to stop breathing. I hope I'm not alone in that feeling! Anyway...here it is...I hear him stirring...Just in time! Happy Monday! P.S. I used a sketch from Beggahuna...her sketches are AMAZING!! Check them out!

I still don't feel like myself but my addiction to all things paper has kept me creating! Everyone else is totally over this crap. Thank God! For some reason I'm going on two weeks with it tho. I love the way this turned out. Not sure I'm totally happy with the lid tho. I've got 3 others I'm working on as well. I will post those when I finish them.

We all have a horrible cold and now Tobias has it. Poor thing. He's still nursing good so that gives me hope! He's 5 months old and has never been sick before! He went to the dr today and weighs almost 16 lbs!! Hooray!! ~~ at any rate...I will not be around the online world for a few more days. I haven't had a chance to visit any blogs so I will have a ton of catching up to do! Hope everyone stays flu free!

I have learned just recently that my husbands sensory issues can be an OK thing! I sent him to Michael's paper sale and told him I wanted holiday themed paper. He brought home some uh...ok paper. The Halloween paper was out of this world!!!!!!!! It's flocked and oh so velvety! It's made by K&Company and it's simply called Halloween Bats Flocked Paper. So I wanted to use some right away and decided to change out my album cover. Again the coloring is off the purple is a bit darker as are the bats. The purple also has a bit of a muted shimmer about it. I love it! I will defenitly send him after paper again! He's fabulous at it!

So...I went outside to check on the boys who were cleaning off the sidewalks after mowing. Trev was playing with a flower but I just glanced at it and never thought twice about it. A few minutes later he said "I picked you a flower." I said oh how cute to myself and just when I was about to look up I hear "it's a dandelion" and I see what is a daisy from my flowers. I shall cherish my dandelion! Crappy picture but I have so much to get done today time is so limited!

One of the things I love about living in our own home is the discovery of so many things in our own backyard! Every year we get a writing spider on the deck and this year is no exception! A writing spider eats her mate AND remakes her web every night. The old wives tale is if your initials appear in the web you`re going to die. Personally I think I`m going to hire her out for sewing on scrap layouts because she makes a fine zigzag stitch!
