~*~ Bee Mine ~*~

The Bee...in action! Chalking all these honeycomb bits was painful! I think it's a pretty cute design tho! I couldn't sleep until I got this done...so I went to bed at 4 am! I am crazy!

..::What I'm working on!::..

I am so excited! I love love love how this turned out! Eventually it will be a scrap page of all my babies on Valentines Day. After much thought and lack of mojo..I've decided I am a paper piecing scrapper. I love it. I get totally lost in making my little things come alive. So for the next few layouts at least, I will be paper piecing! This little bee is from treasureboxdesigns BUT as with a lot of their patterns essential things are missing or misplaced. It can get flustering. The prices are good and with a little time you can fix things well enough. His face and antenna and fingers and the heart and letters are all my own creations. I think he's beautiful! Layout to come!

Kind of plain for me but I just love these pictures of Tobias. That smile is just toooooo sweet!

..::Roots::..

I love this layout. It's my mom at 5, her mom at 7, and me at 5. It's simply amazing how much I look like her! She died when I was little and I don't remember much about her sadly. I've always felt like something huge was missing from my world growing up without a grandmother. (Both my mom and my dads moms died when I was very little) I love looking at this picture and feeling connected to her. I cried the first time I saw it because I had "roots"...hence the title. I used both carts and SCAL and I don't even know what was what because I redid this so many times! I used a punch for the butterflies and tried to emboss them each differently and stickle them because she collected butterflies. She liked the designs on their wings....which is very cool because I love watching butterflies and now I know why! I also added some diamonds on the rik rak because her nickname was "Jewel". The little frames came from THIS link. She has GREAT files!!

UGH!! This layout is plain and I do not like it but it is done. Never again will I try to scrap with camo paper...dumb idea! Difficult at best. For me anyway. I do think I'm going to get some perfect pearls and try to make more pronounced beads for the dog tag journaling tag...it's so very plain but what more is there to add to camo paper?!

..::Tobias' First Snow::..

We had our first snow of the season Thursday and it was way too cold to take Tobias out and let him experience it. Soooo we brought the snow to him!!! He LOVED it. He was gobbling it up and cried and screamed when we took it away! Most everything is cut with SCAL except the pail that is from JOS! I'm going to take a better picture tomorrow in the sun...assuming we have some!

..:: Birthday Card::..

This card should be safe to share now - at least I should hope it's been received! It's a pop up card made from a scal bear design. I thought it was a cute idea and I was going through a creative block so I would take anything I could get at the time. Next one will be better I hope!! I used the hat from the celebrations cartridge and stickled it...a lot! Not the best card ever but I thought the idea was great!

I tried for days to make a layout and it just wasn't happening. FINALLY! I got one made woohooie! I used Design Studio to make the bracket bit and the rikrak and the scallop border and also to weld "you". Scal for the deer (from svgcuts.com) I also used scal to make the pine trees. I think it turned out pretty cute. Who knew yellow and brown could be so cute together! In a few days I'll have a card to post...I think it turned out "beary" cute can't wait to share!
